Hiring: Licensed Smog Inspector


We’re a test-only smog shop — that means no repair work, just inspections. We’re looking for a Smog Technician to join our team and focus strictly on testing vehicles in a busy, high-volume environment. If you like staying focused on one thing and doing it well, this is a great fit.

What you’ll need:

  • Valid California Smog Test License

  • FPR score of 0.4 or higher (or no score)

  • Valid California driver’s license

  • Good attention to detail and ability to stay on schedule

What you’ll do:

  • Perform California smog inspections on a variety of vehicles in a high-volume, fast-paced test-only shop

  • Follow all safety rules and procedures

  • Make sure vehicles meet state requirements

  • No repair work — testing only

What we’re looking for:

  • Flexible schedule (able to work different shifts)

  • Experience in a shop or customer service is a plus

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

  • Friendly, positive attitude with customers

  • Good communication skills

  • Reliable and on time

Compensation & Benefits:

  • $21–$25 per hour, depending on experience

  • Benefits available after 90 days of employment, including:
